I started playing with the Xcal2 last week and logged my drive home from work. In the middle of my drive home, I got a funny looking glitch in the datalog, and I was wondering if anyone (Apex?) can explain to me what happened.

First questions are what are the units for the knock sensor log? Volts? Is my -1.5 knock sensor spike a minor knock or a bad one? What should I be looking for/worrying about in the knock sensor log?

Second questions are, what caused this thing to go open loop? Why did it slam rich? Then why did it knock? Why did the spark advance after the knock?

BTW even if you don't have an Xcal2, you can download & install Livelink and play with my log file. Xcal2 & livelink are very cool.

I am using SC2LiveLink - Version 2.3 - Build 6.

You have to extract the .csv file from the .zip file and save it. If you try to get the .csv file to open in LiveLink by double clicking on the .csv file or by right clicking on the .csv file and selecting open with LiveLink, it will not open the file. You have to bring LiveLink up and then tell Livelink to open the .csv file. Then it loads and works.

I am not sure where to report the LiveLink bug. there seems to be a bug in their latest installer, too. It doesn't put LiveLink in the start menu or desktop. I had to do that manually as well. another guy just reported the same install problem in the SCT forum.

I appreciate you taking a look at this.
