Mike do you or anyone have any info on this.
Scares the crap out of me with plugs bracking off in the heads.
cannot figure how to post the TSB, but it is big time scary.
Champion makes one piece plugs that are fine as a replacement for N/A engines.
Roush is still selling the two piece plugs (for 18 bux each:lol4: )
Champion and brisk do not have the proper heat range plug that I need.
any help?

Bill,
We use the Autolite HT0s and have had great luck with them. These plugs need a special tool to gap them. We are gapping them to .30
Use the HT0s and you'll be happy with them.... let me know if you need them and we can get them for you.

Actually, that is not correct. THe ones that are breaking are the original Motorcraft units... I've heard of very little issues about the HT0's when removed properly

It's pretty interesting that there have been issues with them breaking when people are trying to remove them because we've probably removed over 100 of them this year and have not had any break in the head. It also appears that some of the causes of the breaking has to do with people not removing them correctly.
We have 2 Ford techs on this Forum and maybe they can chime in and see if they have had issues at the dealerships.

is a recomended proceedure to remove them, is also a $600 tool to remove the broken electrode end.should that happen.
Want to change mine but not with the same type plug.
My Roush tune is fatter than Mrs butturworth (A/F around 10)
bet the plugs are really carboned up bad.

Bill,
Dont be afraid to remove those plugs. All you have to do is break em' loose and
rotate the plug back and forth for a bit. Yes I will be hard to turn and make a bunch of noises but it will get easier. If you really don't want to remove them dry then soak the plug bore for a 10min with carb cleaner. When you are going to install the new plug apply anti-sieze on the ground electrode sheild. Do not apply it to the threads!!!!!!!!!!!!
