Attention all Sac members. I'm sure Brian will be talking to everyone about this as they are seen over the next month or so.

Knotts is coming in April. This will be our 3rd year going down there, 2nd year cruising on our own as Norcalsvtoa cruise, with our own shirts made, etc.

I would love to get all the Sac area members involved in this cruise this year. Sac. group could just time it with us and cruise down 5 and then hook up with us on 5 around kettleman city.....That is a good Gas and Go stopping point.

I would love to see how many are interested......Knotts weekend is one of the most fun weekends we do for the year. If you've never been you gotta try it and you'll be hooked. It is a blast.

If the sac chapter and south bay chap all hook up i think we could have at least 25-35 cars or maybe more......

Yeah I have been watching this on other posts. Depending on work load in the office I would love to go down for a four day weekend. Sounds like fun.

yea, I'm hoping the sac crew can get at least 5-10 to go this time plus the cars we normally get will put us at at least 20+ and then on top of that any new people that didn't go last year should get us up there........It's pretty sweet going down 5 with a long line of cars and trucks

Exactly......I will know exact times as we get further into it, but usually hit that area by about 6:30 or so.....possibly a little later.......would be great if sac can get a big group and then tie in with us, and have a saweeeeet cruise down south

lets make sure that we get the meeting spot set and then figure out the travel time.......It is very important to hit the times due to arrival down in La. Trust me, it is worth the early leave time cause 30 minutes late into La makes a hour difference minimum......We learned this 2 years ago, so I would ask you guys to make the times.....this is the most important and I'm sure all the sac members will understand.

On top of that, we may have other members from another group meeting up with you guys, so maybe if you can figure a good spot in sac that is close to highway 5 and I can even help you with the timing

I am still waiting to get the times set from Sacramento........Here is what I propose to all the Sac members. Our meeting point will be Kettleman City exit off of 5. This exit is a easy exit to get gas and then line back up to get going again. I figured out some timing from a generic location in Sac. .............I am really going to need the sac crew to head out around 5am to 5:15 at the latest depending where you are leaving from.....i calculated from around highway 5 and 50 but the times the map gives you are slow since it is only calculating at about 65mph.

I need to know where you plan on leaving from and then we can set a time in stone......I also need to know asap cause we may have a few other cars meeting you in sac. Please get together and figure this out....thanks much.

I know it's early, but we all push ourselves each year so we can make a good time and not hit the La traffic. These times have been tested and work so lets make this year a even bigger, and more fun cruise....

Thanks

If you search under events you will find all the info......it is down toward LA in buena park area. The show is on Sunday which is the biggest ford show I've been to ever.....it is saweeeet.

We leave Friday early, usually get to the hotel around 12-1pm check in

Saturday we have a get together and then Sunday is the show.

it is a blast. You should go if you can manage the funds. I know I'm tight this year but I won't miss it.

You can always share a room if you find another person going on there own. That's what I'm doing and it helps with the funds, ya know

Well...I am not a Sac officer.....but since I am going on this trip I would like to throw out a meeting spot for the Sac people to meet up at to start the cruise down to Kettlemen City.

How about the McDonalds just of I-5 at the Freeport exit in South Sac? We have to take I-5 anyway....might as well meet on I-5 at south sac. Not sure McDonalds will be open that early in the morning but there is a Shell station right across the street there that is if anyone needs some snacks or last second fuel before heading down?

Just a suggestion to get the ball rolln here. :hi:

Just a thought for the Sac people, I don't know anyone so would some of you ( or all) like to meet at some point before the Knott's show? Eurosundays at the pavillions might be somewhat central, and they meet twice a month. Plus some cool cars show up. Just a thought. Any suggestions??

98 sactown, that sounds like a good meeting spot being in the south sac area.....Would love to see some officers input on this too......If you can get me a address of that location I can play with the map

cobrakidz......that is a excellent idea and I would highly suggest getting together before knotts. I know in the bay area we have meetings and gtg's over the next couple of months so gives us plenty of time to discuss things

we should have B & steve set up a march gtg at that golfland type place in Vacaville so both chapters can meet up or a shooting range out in that area because we know there are people in both chapters that love to shoot! lol so we can all meet before knotts

that spot 98 sactown cobra is referring to is actually not freeport. it is off pocket. this is the address for the shell station there...8900 POCKET ROAD, SACRAMENTO, CA 95831-4456. if you hit the florin east exit there is a chevron (for those who pump specific gas)...

Yeah thanks for the correction that is the one I meant. It is off Pocket Road. I was thinking it was called Freeport because that us the exit I take to get to Freeport. Sorry for the confusion. And the Shell station would be a better meet there as like I said I don't think Mickey D's opens till 6:00am and I have a feeling we will need to be there earlier then that.

I think that would be a great place to meet up.....I don't see why the Sac officers would see differently on that but if so hopefully they will chime in at some point.

Thanks

Sounds like a good idea......I guess we are supposed to get back into Saturday meetings at 2pm .... have a seen a little chatter on other posts between the Sac Officers...but last weekend when I went out there wasn't a soul to be seen. If we start meeting Sats again that would be a perfect forum.

Understand.....just think about it and talk to bing bing or someone and share a room......I don't have all the money to go either , but this event just can't be missed so I am sharing a room to cut the cost, and am going to try to eat cheap.......gotta be on a budget this year, but it can be done for probably $400.....maybe a shade over depending on your spending:thumbsup:

I myself was sick all last week so I will get the approx drive time from there to Kettleman city so I can determine what time sac needs to hit the road
